Salvaged, massive antique door perfect as a hallway entry divider. Great for saving on heating bills when only part of the house needs to kept warm. Iron, galvanized pipes and flanges serve as an industrial looking sliding track/rod for the door. Not bad for total $40.

COLONIAL FARM STYLE COTTAGE TABLE never throw away old antique legs
If you find old antique legs or pillars, make a table easily by creating a rectangular base (for the top) from 2x6's studs. "Angle" multi-purpose screws (a lot of them) on the inside of the studs by drilling angled holes with a power drill. These will connect with the legs. Make sure to attach the studs with the legs "flush" with the innermost side. Once complete, the tabletop is a cinch to place on top. The options are yours...use small nails and wood-putty them or simply angle screws from the interior of the base (again). Go overkill with the screws to ensure a sturdy fit.

wood kitchen ceiling
Wood planks discounted for minor defects. Awesome way to give your small-to-medium kitchen or other spaces a quick makeover without breaking the bank. Stagger them, stain them, paint them, distress them....always better than a boring white or "popcorn" ceiling.

Sea foam green on wood gives things a fresh cottage feel. Yet another "borrowed" idea from pinteres.

Another french country chic table. Love finding older 2 x 4's--somehow they were thicker, sturdier, and with more character back then.
