COLONIAL FARM STYLE COTTAGE TABLE never throw away old antique legs

If you find old antique legs or pillars, make a table easily by creating a rectangular base (for the top) from 2x6's studs.  "Angle" multi-purpose screws (a lot of them) on the inside of the studs by drilling angled holes with a power drill. These will connect with the legs. Make sure to attach the studs with the legs "flush" with the innermost side.  Once complete, the tabletop is a cinch to place on top.  The options are yours...use small nails and wood-putty them or simply angle screws from the interior of the base (again).  Go overkill with the screws to ensure a sturdy fit.
